It is Maldon, but a different day and with different animals. Yeah.

You see, idiot me heard mother plannng a trip around Blake Woods in Danbury and said, “Hey, I’ll come!” Wrong move. Halfway through, the mud had sucked on my shoe, I lost balance, and did that natural rebalancing thing we humans can do (and it is definitely cool, by the way, it stopped me ending up on my arse) whilst I was still stood in a two inch deep muddy area of the path… short story even shorter, I ended up limping up a short hill with a shoe in my hand and muddy knee-highs. (Luckily they took most of the mud – I just put them both in the rubbish bag. Ugh.)

Anyway, after that, we decided to go to Maldon as the bus went that way. Ended up watching a group of swans waddling distastefully around on the mud flats. *smirk*

You’re probably tired of the swans, Friday, Feb 22 2008

but, you see, the one on the right was being hand fed slices of bread, slices that it then turned around and dumped near the one on the left, and then they both fed together. Awwwwwwww…

Swans, part one Sunday, Jan 27 2008

We have two pairs of them near town right now – one adult pair and one adult with last year’s cygnet. Swans look so pretty, intelligent, and strokeable; but only try if you really want to lose a finger. This is the first of the adult/cygnet pairing – I’ll show off the next one tomorrow.

(FMers may have seen these already)
